March 2019: Two additional caissons placed

The 8th Caisson, named C16, was immersed on the Larvotto side, seperate from the Caisson belt that had already been placed. The reason for this positioning is to allow the beginning of the connection with the coast.

The 9th Caisson to be immersed, named C8, rests alongside the existing Caisson belt. However, C8 marks the beginning of the curve of the Caisson belt that will form the future coastline of L’Anse du Portier.
